Jinnie was born 18th September 1945 to Emma and Rex Johnson. She was the eldest of three children, born in Brighton and brought up in Wolverley, West Midlands. She was soon to be big sister to Bill and Roberta and she had her hands full looking after these two at times! Unfortunately, she suffered from Asian Flu when she was young and contracted Diabetes from that. She soon decided she wantedx to go into a nursing career and studied Nursing at Birmingham University and moved to London to continue her training at UCLH.
